FAQs
Is there a submission deadline?
Members can apply at any time, with selections made bi-annually.
How long does the application process take?
The process takes around 10 minutes through an online form, decisions are made by the IMC Governing Board at the next board meeting and decisions communicated around 1 month after the board meeting, you can expect the on-boarding admin procedures to take another month. Therefore the entire process can take up to 6 months from the application date.
Is it possible to have more than one Field Officer per location?
In large countries or where the IMC deems it relevant, multiple individuals can serve as Field Officers in key cities. However, there will be only one Field Officer per city. For example we expect only 1 FO in St Kitts, but in the USA we would expect one in New York Miami, Los Angeles etc.
If I am selected as an IMC FO, how long is my term of office?
The agreement between the applicant and the Investment Migration Council is valid for a period of 2 years and indefinitely renewable.
Can a member be responsible for more than one IMC Field Office location?
No. The IMC Field Officers are required to operate from the city/country where they are ordinary residents. (Odinary residence connotes residence in a place with an important degree of continuity and apart from accidental or temporary absences)
