I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Investment Migration Councils’ first ‘Bulletin’ which provides both thought leadership, contributed by our members and some snippets of news from the Citizenship-by-Investment and Residency industry.
It has already been over a year since the IMC was formed with the intention of bringing about much needed change in the industry. Today I am pleased to write that the goals we set out back in the summer of 2014 have (for the most part) been achieved including the launch of the industry’s first Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, the opening of our 3 Regional Representative Offices (London, Hong Kong, and New York) and the careful selection of the IMC Advisory Committee – a real ‘who’s who’ of the industry. Our membership has spread to over 20 different countries and territories, and we expect to welcome many new members in the year ahead.
The secretariat’s 2016 agenda is now clear, a particular focus is of course the Investment Migration Forum which will take place in Geneva between the 6 – 8 June 2016.
In this first issue of ‘Bulletin’ we have received an overwhelming number of contributions from all corners of the globe, contributed by our members, and covering a variety of subjects related to the industry. Looking ahead, our intention is to provide you with a bulletin every few months; should you wish to be a contributor in any future editions or have feedback concerning this issue, please do let me know.
On that note, I’d like to wish you a very prosperous year ahead. |
