As the editor of the Investment Migration Yearbook, it is a pleasure to welcome you to this edition of the IMC Bulletin, which brings to you a selection of the interviews and articles featured in the 2019/2020 Yearbook.
The IM Yearbook, although only in its second edition, has become the flagship publication of the fast-growing investment migration industry. Over four months, the CountryProfiler editorial team spoke to the leading lights of the industry who have shared their thoughts and opinions on the current trends and topics that are influencing the sector. Our industry overview provides a detailed update on the current state of the investment migration industry. We have dedicated an entire section to the biggest stories of the year and run you through the most important debates that are taking place. The investment migration industry is facing a period of unprecedented change and disruption, and the 2019/2020 IM Yearbook sheds a light on the issues that the industry’s movers and shakers believe will likely shape the sector in the years ahead.
For this IMC Bulletin, we have chosen an article of Bruno L’ecuyer who argues that setting common industry standards is key to sustain the growth the industry has enjoyed throughout the past years. We chatted with Austin Fragomen who, supported by decades of experience, discusses the latest market developments. Khalid Koser, the Executive Director of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, widens the migration debate beyond the refugee crisis and calls for a sensible and informed debate on migration to take place. We also spoke with Edward Beshara who highlights routes to the US other than the EB-5, while Larry Wang explains what Chinese clients really want.
In addition to the articles featured in this newsletter, we encourage you to download your own personal copy of the IM Yearbook. The magazine is packed with information on 112 pages, and there is a lot to discover.
We hope you enjoy reading it, and we’d like to thank everyone who supported and contributed to this edition of the IM Yearbook.
Best Wishes,
